photokina supporting the Mobile Imaging Summit and the 6Sight™ conference in Monterey

Innovative new event focuses on the “connected imaging revolution”

A new conference series debuts in October to address the revolutionary developments in the imaging sector — and the effects they will have on both business and personal communication. The 6Sight™ Future of Imaging conference will follow the sixth Mobile Imaging Summit in Monterey, CA. The events are hosted by Future Image, the highly renowned U.S. technology research firm, and the International Imaging Industry Association (I3A).

The 6Sight conference program will concentrate on the rapid spread of new imaging technologies worldwide, and the impact these technologies have on private life, work, and society as a whole. The annual 6Sight conferences will bring together for the first time technicians, marketing specialists, customers, artists, and media representatives.

The 6Sight program is every bit as multi-faceted as the participant target group. The topics covered at the first conference include an analysts’ round table meeting; a panel dealing with the future of lenses in the age of mobile imaging that will also present the latest optical technologies; and the question of which business strategies can be used to generate additional turnover potential from the rapidly growing volume of images.

Conference participants will also learn from successful business representatives about innovative strategies for the future. Speakers include Kostas Mallios, Senior Director, Office of the CTO and Rich Media at Microsoft; John Barber, Vice President Business Development at Varioptic; Marion Knoche, Division Manager at GfK Marketing Services; and Blaine Mathieu, General Manager, Digital Imaging at Corel.

The 6Sight Future of Imaging Conference debuts on October 25, 2006 in Monterey, California, one day after the sixth Mobile Imaging Summit at the same location. Supporters of the Mobile Imaging Summit in the past, the organizers of photokina — the leading trade fair serving the global imaging market — will be sponsoring both events this year and contributing their expertise. photokina’s organizers are thus successfully continuing their cooperation with Future Image Inc. and the International Imaging Industry Association.

Further details about the programs and registration forms for both conferences are available online at www.MobileImagingSummit.com, and at www.6sight.com.
